Parcours de Golfington d’Aveyron

Known as just “PGA” on the circuit, the Superstars Open 2014 tournament was held at this course based near Millau in south western France which is situated in and around the ancient fortified house of La Cadenède.

La Cadenède from the air. In the foreground are the 7th and 9th holes, the former in amongst the trees in the walled garden and the latter around the swimming pool water hazard.

The nine-hole course takes in the turrets, staircases and ancient courtyard of the house before venturing out into its grounds with their panoramic views of the Tarn Valley and the Millau Viaduct. The course is well balanced and contains several opportunities for players to determine their own strategies for approaching the greens.

The holes are as follows:

  1. Eagle’s Nest – par 3
  2. Kingsley’s Passage – par 5
  3. Over Under – par 4
  4. Courtyard Conundrum – par 4
  5. Quatre El – par 5
  6. Round the Back – par 3
  7. Tree Mendous – par 5
  8. Boule Bridge – par 3
