Superstars Open 2015

Superstars Open 2015 was held at Golfington de la Porcelaine near Limoges.  This challenging course brought out the best in the competitors.  Here are some photographs of them in action:

First hole: Balrog’s Bridge.  With fierce crosswinds blowing into the out-of-bounds area, this was a punishing hole for many.

The second hole.  The twisting staircase made for some interesting shots…

Amanda tees off for the second hole. Only finely honed concentration skills can prevent her from being distracted by the dubious horse art beside her.

Bryn gets completely tangled up in the stairs – the ambitious shot was eventually a success.

The third hole… out of the sauna, through the kitchen and dining room and to the bar.

The fourth hole had many twists and turns and narrow corners in the corridor.  Not many pictures though… we are scouting for more.

On the fourth hole, after an initial rush for the front door during the first round, many opted for the back door in the second round.

Amanda plays in through the front door. This shot landed in the sliced green beans. Her next landed in the chicken stock. The hazards of playing golfington through a busy kitchen!

Out of the door, through the vines and into the barbecue.  There are no pictures of the sixth hole from this competition.  All the papparazzi must have popped to the bar at the same time.

The seventh hole, Pizza Off offered a tantalisingly visible but difficult to hit hole.

Pool Party, the ninth hole, was again heavy affected by the windy conditions.  This led to more than a few out of bounds shots into the pool and difficulty coming back up to the green against the wind if shots went astray.
